EXPERIENCE AXE THROWING

Don’t get discouraged if your first few throws bounce off the target and land on the floor. It’s a little different and can take some time to figure out how to make it stick. Once you do, though, it can be addictive. After everyone understands the basics, your coach will lead your group through a series of games. Your score is based on where you hit the target, and there’s an almost endless series of games you can play individually or as a team.



COMPETITIVE

This cutting-edge craze can actually draw its roots all the way back to 400-500 AD when the first axes were thrown in hunting and combat. And while few things are as impressive as sticking a sharp blade in a wooden target.

Once you get started, you’ll likely want to try it again, and if you’re really serious, you can even join our seasonal axe throwing league.



SAFE

Since safety is our main priority, our team of Axe Coaches are constantly watchful. They will coach you along the way to make sure you learn the basics of safe axe throwing. Axe throwing gives you the chance to focus on your own skills and develop new ones. You can learn how to throw two-hand overhead, one hand to the side, or underhanded. Each method offers a bit of a different sensation.



FUN

Axe throwing is all the rage right now, and it’s fun for everyone – men, women, young, and old. You can even BYOB (Bring Your Own Blade).

Actually, in some locations, you can actually bring the bottle, too!

Your Axe Throwing Coach will also organize fun games and maybe even teach you some trick shots.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE 13 OR OLDER. ANYONE UNDER 18 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR WHO MUST ALSO BE A PARTICIPANT. IF A GROUP HAS PARTICIPANTS THAT ARE UNDER 18 A MINIMUM RATIO OF ONE ADULT PER FOUR UNDER 18 PARTICIPANT IS REQUIRED. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR CLOSE-TOED SHOES. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST SIGN A WAIVER. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BRING A VALID FORM OF ID.

AXE THROWING COACHES

Your friendly “axe-pert” Axe Coach will teach you and the others in your time slot how to throw axes with a variety of methods—two-hand overhead, one-hand, and underhand. Your coach will also encourage you to experiment with the different methods before settling into your preferred way to throw. Remember, professional axe throwers spend countless hours perfecting their technique, so there’s a good chance that the method that seems less natural now may actually become better over time.

The speedway was a blast, but the ax throwing with Lionel was the highlight of the day. From teaching us how to throw the ax to putting on some tunes to keep us pumped, he was the bomb! Great guy with a great attitude – def ask for Lionel! Thanks Lionel!!

WONDERFUL place! We went on a Thursday to avoid the weekend crowd! Shak and John were AWESOME! Axe throwing and racing both were the perfect ways to let off some steam. If you have a competitive streak, go with a friend and keep score during the axe throwing games. Good value package for axe throwing and racing combo. I’ll definitely be going back!

“I have been wanting to do this forever!!! Finally, I found some ladies to go with me…woo hoo! Our instructor was Coach Caleb and he was awesome. He showed us a few tricks and just let us go at it! Once we got the hang of it, Caleb showed us some games…and there was a little friendly competition. It is so much fun!!! And once you get the hang of it… and you make a bullseye…you feel pretty darn great let me tell ya!!!

I highly recommend it for any day of the week whether you are alone (maybe take out some frustrations) or with friends. It’s a great stress reliever for sure…I know, because I needed it!!! I think it’s a unique evening out with the guys, gals, or couples. It can also be a great family activity for kids 13+. You won’t be disappointed!

In case you don’t know, this is at the indoor speedway. There is a restaurant and bar inside as well and there is ample parking. Plus, they give a veteran discount (thank you bunches).”

What a great find! Totally unplanned, we discovered this fun, locally owned axe- throwing bar and more. Sky was terrific tending bar and Brian was a super throwing coach/ server. We were just visiting the area but highly recommend.

For our company outing we decided to do a private axe throwing event. Some people were not sure what to expect. But it was so much fun that now everyone wants to do it again.

AXE THROWING LEAGUES

COMPETE TO EARN A SPOT IN THIS YEAR’S TOP CASH PRIZE OF $25,000!!

Axe throwing leagues run for 8 weeks. You will be allowed practice throws and warm up (be there on time or early). Your score for each throw will be tallied and recorded. This will ensure that your ranking you based on your skills at hitting the bullseye and “kill shots” to get top scores.

The top scorers will then make it to the Championship Round in week 8 to determine the Regional WATL Champion!
